What we collect
When you send a survey enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number, property postcode, the type of enquiry, the service you are asking about and anything you write in the message field. If you call or email us directly, we hold the contact details and correspondence relating to that enquiry.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a survey, prepare a quotation or report, carry out any work you instruct, and keep records relating to guarantees and to our legal obligations. Our lawful bases are your consent for the initial enquiry, performance of a contract once work is instructed, and legitimate interests and legal obligation for record keeping.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where necessary: with the guarantee provider when a guarantee is registered in your name, with our accountants and insurers, and with service providers who host this website and our email. Where a report has been requested by a lender, agent or solicitor, it is sent to the party you have asked us to send it to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to work carried out, including survey findings, quotations and guarantee registrations, are kept for the life of the guarantee and for as long as required for tax and legal purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, object to processing, or withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
